A downloadable game for Windows

Dr. Helix was made in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare game jam, and was originally released in August 2012. It's a game about a tiny scientist in a strange world, with the power to instantly evolve the nearby creatures.

This game was made for Ludum Dare 24, and the theme was Evolution. This was my very first Ludum Dare entry, so I made it just to see if I could actually finish a game.  It's very old now, and I didn't have the time to do any music, so generally this is not one of the best!  I was proud of it at the time though,  and it can still be fun in places.

WASD Move, Mouse to Aim, Left-Click to Shoot the current weapon, spacebar to toggle the current weapon and Right-Click to teleport.

Things can get a bit hectic later on, you just need to keep moving.  The main tip is not to run out of ammunition for the Evolution gun - evolve the flowers to get more.  Some scenery objects can  be destroyed or evolved to get more ammo.  Some creatures can be evolved into gun turrets or bombs to help you out.

Hi all, this is here for historical purposes.  It's a really old game made in a weekend, so expect it to be  pretty bad!
